Hinton Chamber Virtual AGM

Our upcoming Chamber Annual General Meeting is only three weeks away on April 22nd, from 11:30-1:00 pm. Once again, due to current gathering restrictions we will be doing our AGM via Zoom.

We are looking to fill 3 board positions this year. Some duties our Board members include:

  • Joint participation with other Board members to determine the goals and direction of the Chamber initiatives
  • Monthly board meetings

BSN: April 15th with featured guest Klay Dyer

The next BSN event is two weeks away on April 15th, from 8:30-10:30 am. This event will feature Klay Dyer, whose presentation is titled "Roadmap to Return: Work in a Post-Pandemic World."

Topics of discussion will include:

  • Identifying and emerging challenges
  • Planning for clients, customers, and staff
  • Planning for agility and resilience
  • Question period

Prior to the workshop with Klay, we will kick off the event with an update from our Yellowhead MP Gerald Soroka.

#HintonFirst Bucks Shop Local Program

The #HintonFirst Bucks shop local program is only a few short weeks away from launching. You may have started to see stickers starting to appear in some of our participating businesses around town. If you haven't had a visit from Natalie yet, please reach out and she will be in touch.

Once we get your information we'll set up a visit in person to deliver a package including any materials you need, talk with you about any potential questions or concerns, and show you a sample of what the #HintonFirst Bucks will look like.

Socio-Economic Effects Monitoring Report for Trans Mountain Activities

The Socio-Economic Effects Monitoring Report (SEEMP), for Trans Mountain activities in the Yellowhead region during the period of October 1 to December 31, 2020 are now available.

Canada-Alberta Job Grant
Applications Still Open

Eligible employers can get government funding to help employees and unemployed Albertans access training opportunities.

Funding is provided by the Government of Canada through the Workforce Development Agreement.
